Overview
The Exabyte EZ17™ MammothTape™ autoloader is compact, affordable and easy to use -- an ideal first step into automated data storage. It supports network backup and restore, remote storage and automated archiving.
The EZ17 autoloader is easy to operate and compatible with all major software applications. With Exabyte's Mammoth-2™ (M2) tape drive, the EZ17 offers unattended access to over 1 TB of data at a rate of up to 108 GB per hour (compressed). For companies with lower capacity and performance requirements, the EZ17 is also available with a Mammoth tape drive.
This Exabyte autoloader offers a cost-effective, automated data management solution with significant increases in capacity over standalone tape drives for nearly the same price. It accommodates seven data cartridges in a removable magazine to facilitate offline storage. The EZ17 occupies less than one cubic foot of space, fitting neatly on a desktop or server, or two units can be mounted side by side in a standard 19" rack. World-renowned Exabyte robotics automate backup procedures, eliminate operator error and dramatically cut data management costs.
